Ender Pearl Hunt: A New Challenge Begins

Facing the Elusive Enderment

As I set out on a journey to gather the items necessary for my journey to The End, I knew that the first and most important task would be to collect the Ender Pearls. These pearls can only be obtained from Endermen, tall, dark creatures with glowing purple eyes. I’ve always been afraid of Endermen, but now I have no choice but to face them.

I ventured out into the night, my heart beating faster with every step. The darkness seemed endless, only the occasional torchlight flickered from my base in the distance. As I looked around, I finally saw those unmistakable purple eyes. An Enderman! I stopped, remembering the most important rule: don’t look them in the eye.

Slowly, I raised my diamond sword, my hands sweaty as I held it. I took a deep breath and rushed towards Enderman. It made a strange and scary sound and suddenly disappeared, keeping me from swinging my sword. This will be harder than I thought. I spent the rest of the night chasing shadows, only seeing Endermen for a moment before they disappeared again.

Trial, Error, and Incremental Progress

My first attempt to hunt Endermen was a disaster. They would teleport before I could reach them, or I would accidentally look them in the eye and find myself running from an angry creature twice my height. Once, I barely managed to escape by quickly building a shelter two blocks high and hiding inside, my heart pounding as I heard the angry Enderman outside.

But with every meeting, I learn something new. I learned that Endermen couldn’t pass through water, so I started fighting near water whenever possible. This makes it easier for me to survive. I also learned to use the environment to my advantage by placing blocks or using terrain to keep them away from me.

My sword skills have also improved. I learned to time my attacks better, although sometimes I still received attacks from their long arms. Slowly but surely, I started collecting Ender Pearls. Each pearl feels like a trophy, proof that I am getting better and more determined.

Ender’s Eye Road

After finally collecting some Ender Pearls, I focused on making Eyes of Ender. The process is simple—combine Ender Pearl with Blaze Powder. However, obtaining Blaze Powder requires another dangerous journey into the Nether. I spent several days preparing for this journey, gathering the supplies I would need and preparing myself for the dangers I would face in that fiery place.

My journey into the Nether was tough, but I managed to defeat enough Blaze to get the Blaze Powder I needed. Back in the Overworld, I combined Ender Pearls with Fire Powder at my crafting table. The Eyes of Ender that I made feel powerful, as if full of magic. I have succeeded, but this is just the beginning.

Excitedly, I took my first Eye of Ender outside. I threw it into the air, and it floated in a certain direction before falling to the ground. I picked it up and started following the trail. I repeated this process over and over again: cast the Eye, watch where it goes, move in that direction, and then do it again. Sometimes the Eye breaks, so I have to use another one.

Conclusion

As I stood at the spot where the Eye of Ender had last led me, I felt both tired and excited. Collecting Ender Pearls and crafting Eyes of Ender turned out to be much more difficult than I expected. There were many near misses and frustrating moments. However, it has also been an incredible journey where I learned and grew tremendously, pushing myself beyond what I thought I could do.

This journey has changed me—I am no longer the timid player who once hid from the Endermen. I have faced my fears, improved my skills, and become stronger. Each Ender Pearl in my inventory is a small victory, a reminder of the challenges I’ve overcome. The Eyes of Ender I created are not just magical items; it is a symbol of my hard work and creativity.

As night began to fall, I marked the location on my map and began the long walk back to my base. There’s still a lot to do—I need to dig and find the fort. But for now, I let myself feel proud. I’ve taken the first big step towards my ultimate goal: facing the Ender Dragon. The end awaits, and I am one step closer to reaching it.
